Amy Maria Bristol Kelsey
Amy Maria Bristol married Austin Kelsey. We have previously posted a collection of documents from their life including their marriage license. What we have here are a few documents from her family tree. Here father was Philip Redfield Bristol. Philip’s baptismal date is found in the records of the Killingworth Congregational Second Society dated April 30, 1780. Philip was the son of Bazaleel Bristol and his wife Mary Redfield. Their marriage is also documented in the Congregational records the date December 1, 1774. Mary Redfield was the daughter of Theophilus Redfield Jr. and his wife Martha Gray. Mary’s baptism is also part of the Congregational records the date January 26, 1755. Philip and his two brothers joined the Union Episcopal Society. As we have previously discussed the fact that many of the birth marriage and death records from that Society were never incorporated into the mainstream Killingworth records. The end result is that some information for these families has been lost to history. We do have 4 generation of Bristols as found in the records from Alvan Talcott to fill in the gaps. But, in the Episcopal records we do find baptismal records for Phillip’s children. Henry identified as the son of Philip Redfield Bristol and Harriet Camp dated November 27, 1808. We also have the record for Eliza Ann the daughter of Philip R. Redfield dated June 18, 1815. And more importantly the baptismal record for Amy Maria the daughter of Philip R. Bristol dated May 30, 1812. Click on images to enlarge.
