In the Connecticut Herald, Tuesday, May 21, 1805, there is a marriage notice for Fanny and Lyman Doud as well as Harry Griffin and Percia Seger: "At Guilford, by the Rev. John Elliott, Mr. Lyman Doud to Miss Fanny Griffin, Mr. Harry A. Griffin to Miss Percia Seger, of Colebrook."
Harry A. Griffin and Percia Seger are the parents of John Lucius Griffin, my great-great grandfather, according to family records which are unsourced. I am looking, so far without success, for proof of John L. Griffin's birth. He married another Griffin, Hannah Amanda Griffin, daughter of John C. and Hannah Griffin of Brooklyn, in the Sands St. Methodist Church, Brookly, in 1839. John L. and Hannah resided in Flanders, LI, NY
Roberta, lets make Harry our next project. Please e-mail me as annebradgriffin@comcast.net Brad griffin. I do have a little original documentation for Harry on his 2nd marriage.
